2024 Haunted Forest & Jack-O-Lantern Walk

The Gilmore Park Community League is hosting a Haunted Forest & Jack-O-Lantern Walk in Gilmore Park, October 26 from 6-9PM!  Bring your pumpkins before 6pm and wear a costume to win prizes. Pumpkins can be picked up after 9pm. Plus, there will be a fun maze through the Gilmore Park Community Garden!  This is a free community event, Food Bank donations are welcome.  Happy Halloween!!

Truth and Reconcilliation Film Screening

September 30th, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, explore the rich and diverse cultures, voices, experiences and stories of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. Start or continue your learning journey by joining Glen Allan neighbours in Gilmore Park for a viewing of the short film - Treaty Walk. Please dress warmly and bring your own chair or blanket. Also, if you have one, wear an orange shirt.

Movie Night in the Park - Sept. 7

Join your Glen Allan neighbours for a Dessert Potluck and Movie Night in Gilmore Park on Saturday, September 7. The potluck will begin at 7PM and the movie IF  will begin at dusk. There will also be a DVD Swap! Bring your favourite dessert, chairs and warm blankets! 

Collision in Glen Allan - Aug. 13

Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Alberta (Strathcona County RCMP Detachment) Sherwood Park, Alta. – On Aug. 13, 2024, Strathcona County RCMP responded to a serious injury collision involving two pedestrians on Georgian Way in Sherwood Park. According to the initial investigation, a vehicle travelling north on Georgian Way collided with two pedestrians and a dog on the sidewalk. The vehicle then came to a stop on a residential lawn. A 36-year-old male and an 11-month-old child were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, while their dog received minor injuries and was taken to the vet. The male driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries. RCMP do not believe that speed and alcohol were factors in the incident.
