Pitch In & Perennial Exchange - May 3

Join your Glen Allan neighbours for a Spring Refresh! Participate in the annual Pitch In on May 3   by using this link below   to choose one of our neighbourhood green spaces—Granville, Greengrove, Garland, Gilmore Park, or another greenspace of your choice. Residents will gather at each location to help clean up litter and remove graffiti, giving our shared spaces a fresh start for the season. Time of day is flexible and it is approximately a 1 hour time commitment. In addition to the clean-up, we invite you to stop by Gilmore Park between 11:00 and 12:00 to enjoy a refreshment and take part in the neighbour-to-neighbour perennial exchange.  Plant exchange details:  Instead of bringing plants to a central location, this exchange works by connecting neighbours with one another. Job Posting - Newsletter Project Coordinator

The Gilmore Park Community League (GPCL) is looking for a Glen Allan resident to assist with a neighbourhood newsletter project. As the Newsletter Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for compiling content, layout design, printing, and delivery of newsletters.  This project must be completed by May 1, 2026. The Coordinator will be compensated with an honorarium of up to $500. Youth ages 16-25 are welcome and encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: Plan a timeline for completion of project tasks  Communication with contacts (businesses, volunteers, suppliers & neighbours) Research printing and delivery costs within budget Compile newsletter content with the help of volunteers  Create an engaging and visually appealing newsletter layout Bundle newsletters for Canada Post delivery Hand deliver newsletters outside of Canada Post delivery zones Requirements: Glen Allan resident Age 16+ ...

Season's Greetings!

With the holiday season upon us, it is a time to reflect on the past year, express gratitude and think ahead to how we shape our neighbourhood in 2026. This year one Glen Allan neighbour said, "I love living in a healthy and strong neighbourhood!" From short conversations on our sidewalks to large Halloween gatherings, this year brought meaningful connections and many memorable moments. Whether you participated in a neighbourhood event, volunteered your time, or showed kindness to a neighbour, you played an important role in creating a sense of community, thank you! In the new year the Gilmore Park Community League plans to focus on discovering the common interests of Glen Allan neighbours, and supporting groups and activities that residents initiate and care about. There are so many fun and interesting things neighbours could choose to do together in small groups or in big groups. The Gilmore Park Community League welcomes Glen Allan neighbours to a free Card Making Gathering on Sunday, November 23 from 2–4 PM at Headquarters (101 Granada Blvd)! Gather with community and make cards for neighbours, friends or anyone who could use a little extra kindness!

2025 Haunted Forest & Jack-O-Lantern Walk

The Gilmore Park Community League is hosting a spooktacular Haunted Forest & Jack-O-Lantern Walk on October 25 from 6-9PM in Gilmore Park! Bring your carved pumpkins before 6PM, there are prizes for the favourites. Pumpkins can be picked up after 9PM. The Haunted Forest is less scary from 6-7PM and scarier from 7:30-9PM. There will be a fun maze through the Gilmore Park Community Garden! Wear a costume and be entered for a prize.  This is a free community event, Food Bank donations and donations to the Gilmore Park Community League are welcome! Happy Halloween!! 🎃 👻

Movie Night & Park Performances - September 6

Come to Gilmore Park on September 6 to watch Glen Allan talent and the Lilo & Stitch movie!  Complete this FORM  if you have a skill or ability to showcase. We are seeking art to display, musicians, dancers, and other performers of all ages.
