Gilmore Park Community League

Join Glen Allan Neighbours for Caroling in the Community Friday, December 20, 2019.  Neighbours, friends and family are invited to gather at 68 Georgian Way starting at 5pm (ability to carry a tune is not required). After a few practice rounds we will travel as a group around the neighbourhood singing 1-2 songs outside each house that welcomes us. After caroling we will enjoy hot beverages and holiday treats. The Gilmore Park Community League will supply song books, jingle bells and hot drinks. We recommend carolers dress warmly, bring a travel mug and a holiday treat to share. The purpose of the event is to celebrate the season with neighbours, it is not a fundraiser in which donations are expected. The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!

Outdoor Movie Night!   Join neighbours, friends and family in Gilmore Park on Saturday, September 7 for our annual Movie Night at dusk.  This years movie is Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.   Bring your own blankets, chairs and snacks. 

This summer the Gilmore Park Community League is partnering with Strathcona County Parent Link and Utilities to bring an Adventure Playground to Glen Allan!  This loose parts play area will pop-up in Jean Vanier School grounds every Monday evening for 6 weeks in July and August. Together we will build community, empower creativity and imagination, and encourage reducing, recycling and reusing.   Caregivers, children, youth, friends, families and neighbours are all encouraged to come play!! July 8, 15, 22, 29, August 12 & 19 from 5:00-7:00pm at 109 Georgian Way, Sherwood Park.  

You are invited to attend the Gilmore Park Community League (GPCL) Annual General Meeting & Community Gathering on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 6:00-8:00pm at Sherwood Nitzza Pizza on Graham Road!   6:00-7:00pm Come meet your Glen Allan neighbours, learn about GPCL activities this past year and share ideas to build a safer more connected community.   7:00-8:00pm make your own beeswax food wrap to help reduce plastic waste. Supplies will be provided (while quantities last).

Help clean-up garbage in our community Saturday, May 4 th from 1:00-2:00pm at Gilmore Park, Glen Allan. Bags and refreshments will be provided. Bring your own gloves and dressing as your favourite Star Wars character is optional.   Many hands make light work. May the 4 th be with us!

The Gilmore Park Community League and the Belvedere Golf & Country Club are hosting a Soup Night Kick-Off at the Glen Allan Recreation Complex on March 19, 2019 from 7:00-9:00PM.
