Pumpkin Festival Fun!
Halloween and community spirit was shining bright at our Pumpkin Festival held at Jean Vanier School on Sunday, October 27! The Gilmore Park Community League, in Glen Allan, was pleased to partner with Jean Vanier to host this spooktacular event. It was a successful afternoon thanks to the support of Gilmore Park community volunteers, JV Parent Council, Principal Mr. Moroziak, and all of the families that baked goods and came to partake in the fun. Even Mayor Carr and Ward 2 Councillor Dave Anderson joined in and supported the festivities. We are pleased to report that over $2000 was raised towards re-locating the previous Gilmore Park and Jean Vanier playground equipment to a third world county. The Gilmore Park Community League would also like to thank the following businesses who supported this event: Evergreen Horticultural Services, Nottingham Sobey's & Baseline Road Save-on-Foods, Lacombe Corn Maze, Confetti Sweets, Dora Berry - Epicure & Landscape Design, Teresa Bolinski - Lia Sophia, Shelley Sulz - Norwex, Park Power, Strathcona County and Parent Link.
