Newsletter Project Coordinator
The Gilmore Park Community League (GPCL) is looking for a Glen Allan resident to assist with a neighbourhood newsletter project. The Newsletter Project Coordinator, will be responsible for compiling content, seeking business support, layout design, printing, and delivery of newsletters.
This is a one-month project to be completed by May 1, 2024. The Coordinator will be compensated with an honorarium of up to $500. The time commitment is 15-20 hours. Youth ages 16-24 are welcome and encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:

Plan a timeline for completion of project tasks

Communication with contacts (businesses, volunteers, suppliers & neighbours)

Draft and deliver letters to potential business supporters

Research printing and delivery costs within budget

Compile newsletter content with the help of volunteers

Create an engaging and visually appealing newsletter layout

Bundle newsletters for Canada Post delivery

Hand deliver newsletters outside of Canada Post delivery zones
Requirements:

Glen Allan resident

Age 16+

Comfortable using Google Docs, Google Sheets, Canva, or other platforms

Work from home on your own device
-
Time management skills
-
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
