With the holiday season upon us, it is a time to reflect on the past year, express gratitude and think ahead to how we shape our neighbourhood in 2026.
This year one Glen Allan neighbour said, "I love living in a healthy and strong neighbourhood!" From short conversations on our sidewalks to large Halloween gatherings, this year brought meaningful connections and many memorable moments. Whether you participated in a neighbourhood event, volunteered your time, or showed kindness to a neighbour, you played an important role in creating a sense of community, thank you!
In the new year the Gilmore Park Community League plans to focus on discovering the common interests of Glen Allan neighbours, and supporting groups and activities that residents initiate and care about. There are so many fun and interesting things neighbours could choose to do together in small groups or in big groups. Such as having a game night, walking together, wood working, advocacy, canning local fruit, making sourdough, etc. GPCL will follow your lead and be here to help you spread the word through our communication channels or find funding or spaces. Reach out if you have an idea!
