We invite families to make a   leprechaun trap   and see if you can catch a leprechaun or maybe even some of his gold! On March 17 we would love to see pictures of your creations on the   GPCL Facebook page . How well do you know Sherwood Park? Open this  google form  to decipher clues naming Sherwood Park streets, locations and neighbourhoods. Submit your answers by March 31 to be entered to win a Tim Horton's prize package, donated by local Realtor,  Chris Greidanus .

Soup Fundraiser

This holiday season please consider shopping locally and supporting the ongoing initiatives of the Gilmore Park Community League! In partnership with The Soup Company, GPCL is hosting a Soup Fundraiser. To receive your soup before Christmas, orders must be received before December 8, 2020. There is a variety of soups to choose from and bags of soup range from $8-12. The perfect gift for a neighbour, teacher, friend or family member!! Complete this FORM to submit your order. Virtual Paint Night - November 20

Join Glen Allan neighbours & Amanda Schultz from Triple A Artistry for a fun evening of painting. From the comfort of your home, using the Zoom platform, Amanda will guide participants through step by step instructions to create a northern lights painting. This is a free event and BYOPS (bring your own painting supplies).  Plus have your favourite munchies and beverage(s) on hand for a night of connecting, learning and laughing!! Supplies needed: paint canvas ( 9x12" or any size you choose), paint brushes, acrylic paints (black, white, purple, blue, turquoise or any colours you would prefer), cup of water, paper towels.  The first 10 people to register will receive a free painting kit! Jack-O-Lantern Walk

Help light up the path in Gilmore Park (15 Gilmore Avenue) by bringing a carved pumpkin with a battery tea light on   Saturday, October 24 ! Jack-o-lanterns should be placed along the middle of the path by 5PM and picked up at 9PM.  Please label your pumpkin with your name and email. PRIZES will be awarded for the most bootiful and spooktacular jack-o-lanterns!!   What are your plans on October 31, 2020? Art Scavenger Hunt

The Gilmore Park Community League is happy to announce that artwork from our Community Art Contest has been converted into asphalt art decals.  Most of the decals are now on pathways throughout Glen Allan so let the hunt begin!!  Find the art decals and answer the corresponding questions to WIN!! Walk, bike, run or scooter around the neighbourhood to find the decals and tune in to our social media pages ( Facebook , Twitter and Instagram ) for location clues. Plus please share your own clues using #communityartproject Special thank you to all of our project supporters including Strathcona County , Chris Greidanus - Re/Max  and Strathcona County Museum & Archives.
